About Your Presenter: Jennie Griggs, BS, MA, is a Geriatric Specialist and founder of Aging Collective, a group of aging resources for business and personal needs. The collective develops and presents continuing education courses for corporate and educational clients.

As founder of Friends of Northern Wake Senior Center, Jennie promotes senior wellness by instructing several Evidence-Based senior fitness programs approved by the CDC. She works with Aging Care Matters as a Geriatric Care Manager and assists seniors with Medicare and Medicaid questions using her NC and SC Life, Accident and Health license.

Inspired by a quote from her favorite author, C.S. Lewis, “You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream;” at the age of 64, Jennie Griggs was accepted into the Aging Studies Graduate Program at Wichita State University was awarded the Charles W. & Margaret D. Mullikin Fellowship in Gerontology Scholarship serving as a graduate assistant. In 2018 she graduated with highest honors receiving graduate student of the year in the Health Science Department.

Jennie founded or owned various small businesses in Virginia including Selden & Associates Real Estate, Scheirman Associates Architects, Selmore, a sales agency holding three trademarks, and Green & Glorious. Once successful in the corporate world representing companies in sales, business development and training, Jennie’s life course and personal mission refocused following her health battles, and those of her husband who lost his fight with a long-term illness and dementia. Today, mother of two with six grandchildren, three dogs and a loving companion, she focuses on the societal indifference regarding the aging. Her presentation presents the realities surrounding aging that will empower you to make a difference in your business and your life course.
